What is the ASIC key and why do I need one?

The ASIC key is a unique number associated with your AFS licensee or authorised representative. 

The ASIC key helps us protect your information by making sure only you, and those you have authorised, can access it.

After you have signed up for your ASIC Connect account, you need to enter the ASIC key. This proves that you are authorised to act on behalf of the AFS licensee or authorised representative and allows you to use our online services. 

Requesting an ASIC key

You can request an ASIC key using one of the following options:

For licensees: It will be sent to the address for service of documents.

For authorised representatives: It will be sent to the principal place of business.

Please allow for your normal mail delivery time.

Requesting an ASIC key using our online enquiry service

For licensees and authorised representatives: To the email address you provide. 

By the next business day.

The email will be sent from ASIC.transactions.no-reply@asic.gov.au.

To make sure the email does not get caught in junk mail, we recommend you add this email address to your safe senders list.
