Accessibility

Accessibility ensures everyone can access our information and services.

On this page:

Our aim

We aim to provide information and services for everyone who needs to use them. This is also a requirement under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.

Website accessibility

Our websites aim to meet Level AA success criteria from the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Version 2.1

Some accessibility considerations include:

  • compatibility with common web browsers
  • adaptive content design that is easy to read by screen readers and other assistive technologies
  • 'skip to content' links at the top of the page, which allows screen readers to skip navigational elements and go straight to the text
  • text equivalents for images, videos and podcasts.
