Episode 59: Ben Jayaweera found guilty after three-week trial, sentenced to 12 years

Mr Jayaweera's former clients were at or near retirement age. He invested their superannuation money into a scheme, an abalone farm, without their knowledge. The abalone farm was then wound up by receivers and liquidators, with no available returns for investors.
