ASIC has released a technical update to Policy Statement 72: Foreign securities prospectus relief [PS 72]. This policy statement describes how ASIC administers the prospectus provisions of the Corporations Act 2001 for offers of foreign securities and discusses prospectus relief for foreign companies making offers of securities in Australia.

The previous version of [PS 72] has been revised to update legislative references, remove references to outdated pro formas and update the list of ‘approved foreign markets’.
