ASIC notes the decision today of the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions to withdraw a summary charge against Mr Trevor Douglas Cohen of Balmoral, New South Wales.

Mr Cohen was due to appear in the Downing Centre Local Court on a date to be fixed on one charge of engaging in misleading conduct in relation to financial services.

This decision comes after the sentencing of Mr Cohen in the Sydney District Court on 26 February 2009 to 300 hours community service in relation to four charges of falsifying documents (refer to AD 09-32).
