Permanent ban for insurance broker

Published

ASIC has permanently banned Leroy Bowmaker, formerly Managing Director of All Class Insurance Brokers (All Class) from providing financial services.

ASIC had various concerns regarding Mr Bowmaker's conduct during his role as Managing Director of All Class, and ultimately found that he was not competent to provide financial services.

Mr Bowmaker was the Managing Director of All Class from 1 March 2002 until it was placed into liquidation on 17 April 2013. His role primarily involved the provision of insurance brokerage services to clients.

Mr Bowmaker has a right to appeal to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.

Background

On 6 May 2013 ASIC cancelled the AFS licence and Australian credit licence of All Class, after it went into liquidation.
