Paul Anthony Scott, a Queensland-based accountant, has been charged with lodging false documents with ASIC.

The offences are alleged to have occurred between 1 July 2010 and 30 March 2013.

Appearing in Southport Magistrates Court on 16 September 2014, Mr Scott was charged with one count of lodging false documents with ASIC. He was also charged with one count of obstructing ASIC in doing its job.

Mr Scott, of Southport, was not required to enter a plea and was bailed.

The matter will return to the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 21 November 2014.

The matter is being prosecuted by the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions.
