17-057MR Former company director in court on charges of misappropriating investor funds
Mr Gavin Hyland, a former director of Jacqalex Pty Ltd, yesterday pleaded guilty to two charges of dishonestly misappropriating investor funds.
Appearing before the Brisbane District Court, Mr Hyland pleaded guilty to charges of using his position dishonestly, in breach of section s184(2) of the Corporations Act 2001, with the intention of directly gaining an advantage for himself between the period of March to May, and October to November 2010 (refer 16-143MR).
Mr Hyland will be sentenced at 10am on 12 May 2017 at the Brisbane District Court. He is currently on bail.
The Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions is prosecuting the matter.
