Dean George Scook charged with stealing

Mr Dean George Scook, of Victoria Park, Western Australia has appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court charged with eleven counts of stealing as an officer of a company.

ASIC alleges that on eleven occasions between 22 August 2018 and 24 June 2019, Mr Scook stole funds totalling $675,196 from Rock Mining Australia Pty Ltd.

ASIC further alleges that between 6 April 2018 and 13 December 2019, Mr Scook was a shadow director of Rock Mining Australia Pty Ltd.

The matter has been adjourned to 17 November 2023 in the Perth Magistrates Court.

This matter is being prosecuted by the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions.

Background

Mr Scook has been charged with eleven counts of stealing as an officer of a company s378(8) of the Criminal Code (WA).

The maximum penalty for each charge is 10 years’ imprisonment.
