Information and documents on ASIC's public registers
Most documents lodged for companies are publicly available and can be searched through ASIC Connect or through an information broker.
Additionally, an extract of information about a company or other organisation on ASIC's Registers can be obtained through ASIC Connect.
You can obtain publicly available documents about companies and other organisations on ASIC Connect.
Some commonly lodged documents of a company that are publicly available for purchase are:
- Form 484 Change to Company Details (which includes notification by a company of appointment and cessation of officeholders and other company contact information).
- Form 201 Application for Registration of a Company
- Form 2205 Notification of resolutions regarding shares, Form 205A, Form 205 (to notify ASIC that a resolution regarding shares has been passed by a company).

Extracts of information
An extract of information about a company or other organisation on ASIC's Registers can be obtained through ASIC Connect or through an information broker.
Current and/or historic information about a company, including the details of directors, members (shareholders) and address information, is available on a Current and/or Historical Company Extract.
Current and/or historic information about a business name registration, including contact details of the entity to which the business name is registered can be searched on ASIC Connect. Much of this information can be searched free of charge.
For assistance accessing information or documents through ASIC Connect, please call our Customer Contact Centre (CCC) on 1300 300 630. The CCC business hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (AEST). The CCC closes for business on national public holidays and has limited services available on public holidays for each state and territory.
