ASIC's professional registers provide information about 'professionals', including liquidators, auditors and licensees.

Search the ASIC Professional Registers Search

The ASIC Professional Registers Search provides information about a company or person registered or licensed with us to provide a service.

Our professional register includes information on:

  • Australian Financial Services (AFS) licensees
  • AFS authorised representatives
  • credit licensees
  • credit representatives
  • registered auditors (registered company auditors and authorised audit companies)
  • registered liquidators
  • official liquidators
  • registered managed investment schemes, and
  • approved self-managed super funds (SMSF) auditors.

AFS licences issued in new portal

ASIC has launched a new digital AFS licence application portal. Please note: Information about licences issued in the portal are currently available through ASIC Professional Registers Search but it only includes basic details such as licence number, grant date, principal place of business address, and current status. You can view the full details of the licences below.

Historical professional registers

Roles recorded on the pre-financial services regime register of licensees and authorisations are available to search on ASIC Connect. This includes information on the below historical professional registers:

  • credit registered persons, and
  • roles recorded on the pre-financial services regime (pre-FSR) register of licensees and authorisations.
  • These registers are available for historical purposes only.

Search fees

It's free to search our professional registers for the following information:

  • registration/licence number,
  • name of the person or organisation,
  • address,
  • start date of registration/licence, and
  • details of the registration or licence, including:
    • start date,
    • status, and
    • details of any conditions or restrictions about the registration.

We're legally obliged under the Corporations Act to charge fees for some information. See Fees search for a list of information you have to pay to access.

You can pay an information broker to get information from our registers for you. They have access to our registers and information from other government agencies.
