Electronic Lodgement Protocol

ASIC's Electronic Lodgement Protocol (ELP) sets out the terms and conditions for lodging electronic documents with ASIC.

We offer specific terms and conditions for online services available through ASIC Connect. This includes business name holders, financial advisers and authorised representatives.

Notice of variation to ELP

On 1 April, the ELP was updated to allow electronic signatures on the Form 362 Notification by a company to nominate or cease a registered agent or contact address.

Officeholders can sign the Form 362 electronically by:

  • physically signing on a touchscreen device (e.g. by a stylus or finger), or
  • digitally inserting an image of their usual signature.

This means ASIC Registered Agents can now collect and store the Form 362 electronically, instead of obtaining the physically signed form.

There is no change to the way agents lodge the form electronically and the option to physically sign a paper version of the document remains available.

Other requirements relating to record keeping and producing the Form 362 upon request by ASIC also remain unchanged.
