Cease (remove) a relevant provider

Australian financial services (AFS) licensees must notify ASIC when they cease a relevant provider’s (including a provisional relevant provider and time-share adviser) authorisation.

To do this, AFS licensees must cease (remove) the relevant provider’s appointment on the Financial Advisers Register within 30 business days.

When you cease a relevant provider’s authorisation and they are not appointed by another AFS licensee on the Financial Advisers Register, they will no longer be ‘current’ on the Financial Advisers Register.

Up to 25 relevant providers can be removed in one transaction.
