You can transfer shares between shareholders online. You must have registered for online access and use your account details to log in. If you haven't registered for online access, see our online services page for instructions.
You must notify us within 28 days when a transfer of shares occurs.
How to transfer shares
Step 1 - After you've logged in, select 'Start new form' from the left hand menu
Step 2 - Select 'Changes to company details' (484) from the list of forms
Step 3 - Select 'Change to members register' from the list of changes
Step 4 - Select the type of change you are making to the member register
To transfer shares you will need to:
- Remove shares from an existing shareholder by selecting 'Change' or 'Cease'. Complete details and select 'Next'.
- Add shares to an existing shareholder by selecting 'Change' or add them to a new shareholder by selecting 'Add a new member to the register'. Complete details and select 'Next'.
Step 5 - Review the changes and complete the declaration to submit your transaction
After you've reviewed all information and made sure it's correct, select 'Next'. Then complete the declaration and select 'Submit'.
