What to do next:

  1. If you've been scammed, you need to act fast.

See ASIC’s Moneysmart website for information about what to do if you’ve been scammed.

  2. Report your scam to Scamwatch.

The best place to report a scam, including investment scams, is on the Scamwatch website. Scamwatch is run by the National Anti-Scam Centre and works with ASIC to disrupt investment scams.

You may not be able to get your money back once you've paid a scammer. But reporting it will help stop them scamming someone else.
