If a company director’s end date needs to be changed on the companies register, there is a different process to apply to correct the cessation date.
Correct details on the companies register
If certain details in documents you lodged on the companies register were incorrect, you can ask ASIC to correct them.
Before you start
You can apply to ASIC to correct certain errors on the companies register. These are:
- typographical errors, for example incorrect spelling
- the place or date of birth of a company officeholder
- dates of some changes.
For example, if you spelt the name of an officeholder incorrectly when adding them, you can apply to have the spelling fixed.
