Change of details - individual auditor

Use Form 905 to:

  • change any of your registration details, or

  • notify us that you are ceasing to practise as an auditor or authorised audit company.

Change of address - individual auditor

Changing your principal place of practice address will not automatically update the address for the capacity in which you practice. You will need to complete relevant sections of the Form 905 to notify ASIC of the change in both the principal place of practice and capacity details.

Also, submitting a Form 484 to change address details for any other office held (for example: director, secretary, liquidator or member) will not update your auditor details.

You can lodge form 905 online using the auditors portal, or

download a copy of Form 905 as a PDF file.

Change of details - authorised audit company

Authorised audit companies (AACs) may use Form 905, Form 484 or PF 217 for changing different aspects of their auditor registration as outlined below.

AACs may use Form 905 to:

  • change any of your registration details,

  • appoint a new director to the AAC; or

  • notify us that you are ceasing to practise as an auditor or authorised audit company.

You can lodge form 905 online using the auditors portal, or

download a copy of Form 905 as a PDF file.

Appointment of a new director to the AAC

The company must first lodge a Form 484 to notify ASIC of the appointment of any new director(s) to the company. The AAC must also lodge a Form 905 to notify the appointment of the director(s) to the AAC together with an executed PF217 from each of the newly appointed directors.

Pro forma 217 Deed: authorised audit company run-off insurance cover

Pro forma 217 [PF 217] is a pro forma deed concerning professional indemnity insurance run-off cover for an authorised audit company. It is to be executed by each director of the company as a condition of registration of the authorised audit company.

Change of address of AAC

Where the company notifies ASIC of a change to the principal place of business address (Form 484), a Form 905 must be lodged to advise the change of principal place of practice of the AAC.

Change to company details

Form 484 Change to company details is used to advise:

  • change of address: registered office, principal place of business, officeholder (officer; director; secretary), proprietary company member;

  • change of name: officeholder, proprietary company member;
